PC Time Clock Module (UltraPunch)
The PC Time Clock option for UltraTime Enterprise utilizes a standard PC as an automated data collection device. With UltraPunch, the PC displays the time and date, prompts the employee for in and out punches, job and department transfers and punch queries. The punches are automatically processed into UltraTime Enterprise, just as they would from a typical data collection hardware device.
UltraPunch Features
- UltraPunch is a 100% web-based product that does not require any software to be loaded on the local PC other than a few small (dll) files that are required when using the fingerprint reader.
- UltraPunch can be used with a wide range of input devices, including; the computer's keyboard, biometric fingerprint reader, prox ID reader, magstripe swipe reader, bar code swipe or laser scanner.
Fingerprint Reader
The Microsoft fingerprint reader is fast, convenient and an excellent way to eliminate buddy punching.
Employees will typically use the fingerprint reader, or an identification badge to clock in or out of the system. If an employee forgets his or her badge, the system may be configured to accept the employee's badge number from the keyboard.- Employees can transfer between charged departments and charged job codes. A drop down list displays valid codes for the user.
- Employees can perform a query on the most recent two weeks of punches, which details the paid punch time, adjustments, paid hours and any exception codes. Benefit leave hours and occurrence records can also be queried if those optional modules are installed.
