UltraBadge - Video Color ID System
The UltraBadge system utilizes a standard video camera to capture a card holder's
image, which may be saved to disk for later retrieval. The image may be printed with
an industry standard ink jet or laser printer on a badge core material that is then
laminated to produce a highly durable, yet low cost ID badge. UltraBadge also supports
printing to printers specifically designed to print ID badges to a 'hardcard' material.
The UltraBadge system's high quality and low cost photo ID badge is ideal for:
- Universities & Colleges
- Video Rental Stores
- Health Clubs
- Ski Resorts
- Discount Clubs
- Libraries
- Access Control
- Time and Attendance
The UltraBadge system has numerous advantages over traditional photo ID systems or
specialized printer systems:
- Low Badge Cost: The UltraBadge system produces a badge at a fraction of the cost of film based photo ID systems.
- Flexible Badge Format: The badge design is user configurable, allowing the user complete control over placement of text, graphics and video images.
- Company Logos & Graphics: The badge design can include any company logo or graphic art. The system can print any industry standard Bitmap formatted image.
- Many Barcode Types: The badge design can include a variety of barcode symbologies, such as Code 3 of 9 or Interleaved 2 of 5 in low, medium and high densities. Because the barcodes are generated on a laser printer, the read rate is exceptional.
- Data Base Information: The badge design can contain information that is keyed as well as "looked up" from other validation data bases. The data base information is user configurable for maximum system flexibility.
- Standard Hardware: The UltraBadge system operates on a standard IBM compatible, Pentium Class PC, with 8MB of Ram and Windows 95, 98, NT. The system can utilize color ink jet printers, laser printers or a wide range of color 'hard card' printers.
- High Speed: The UltraBadge system is easily adapted for use where there is high speed badge requirements, such as college registration, or for visitor's badges. The UltraBadge system can capture and print an employee badge to a laser printer in approximately 15 seconds. Lamination then takes approximately 15-30 seconds.
- Full Integration: The UltraBadge system can be used in a standalone mode or fully integrated with our 'state of the art' time and attendance system, UltraTime.
