UltraTime - Time and Attendance

UltraTime is our flagship Time & Attendance system. The system is responsible for the following components that must be performed to complete the payroll process:
  • Process Employee Punches from any of the available input systems.
  • Apply Company Policies and Rules.
  • Compare and Flag exceptions to scheduled work hours.
  • Accept Changes to employee's worked hours.
  • Calculate the employee's paid hours at the end of the Pay Period.
  • Export the resultant calculations to the payroll system.

Transaction Entry Options

UltraTime can process transactions from a wide variety of sources, each providing unique capabilities to provide you the best solution for your requirements. You may select 1 or more input solutions depending on your requirements:

  • Time clocks with a serial/modem/lan/web interface that accept barcode or magstripe ID badges and keyboard input.
  • Web Browser entry facilities for those employees who spend most of their working time at a PC connected to an intranet or the Internet.
  • PC LAN entry facilities for those employees who spend most of their working time at a PC connected to the company server.
  • Telephone based entry that allows employees to entry transactions via the telephone at their respective location.
  • Biometric based entry that uses fingerprint or hand geometry to verify the employee's identity before accepting transactions.
  • Radio Frequency hand held units for online wireless transactions at locations up to 1000' from the PC.
  • Portable hand held units for offline transaction collection at remote sites.
Applying Company Policies

UltraTime has a wide variety of options that can be configured to impliment virtually any company or collective bargaining rule requirement. And if we can't make it work for your rules, we can custom modify the system for you, usually for a nominal fee. Punch times, for example, may be optionally rounded to the nearest Tenth or Quarter hour. In fact, they may be rounded to any time based on the company rule.

Grace periods may be applied so that an early Clock In is paid from the employee's scheduled start time. The Clock Out may work the same or configured differently.

Penalty Docking may be applied to deduct additional time for those employees who Clock In after a specified grace period.

Lunch Periods may be configured to automatically deduct after a specified number of work hours if the employee did not punch for lunch. Short lunches may be rounded to the scheduled lunch period. Multiple Lunchs and breaks per day may be configured.

Flagging of Employee Exceptions

UltraTime may be configured to flag a variety of attendance exceptions. These exceptions are noted on the Exception Report and are visually color coded in the UltraView module. These exceptions also provide input to the attendance rating system AutoOccur. A few of the many exceptions are listed below:
  • Absent - Employee was scheduled to work but didn't punch.
  • Missing Punch - Employee forgot to punch In or Out.
  • In Late/Early - Employee punched In before/after scheduled time.
  • Out Late/Early - Employee punched Out before/after scheduled time.
  • Long Lunch/Break - Employee took too long of a lunch or break.
